About Sahem

Sahem provides part-time job opportunities for university students, and people with disabilities, enabling them to gain work experience, earn an income, and transition from academic life to the labor market.

Our Goals

University Students

Part time Jobs for university students currently enrolled in accredited universities or higher educational institutions in Qatar

Program Features

Students can work up to 20 hours per week during the academic term and up to 40 hours during holidays.

Program participants will be eligible to work under the following conditions:

The applicant must be a student at a university or higher education institution in Qatar.
The student must hold a valid Qatari ID card.

Note

Exchange students from universities outside Qatar are not eligible to join the program.

Personal Documents

Copy of a valid Qatari ID
High-quality personal passport sized photo (size 6x4)
Copy of last updated CV

University Enrollment Documentation

Letter of registration/enrolment at a university or higher education institution within Qatar mentioning the semester currently registered.

Terms and Conditions

Applicants must adhere to the following conditions regarding part-time employment:
Working hours should comply with the following criteria: a maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester and a maximum of 48 hours per week during the summer vacation.
The part-time employment contract is only valid if the student continues their studies and expires upon graduation.
Qatar Manpower Solutions & Co. (Jusour) will verify that part-time employees are students.
According to the contract signed between the parties, Jusour is also responsible for taking appropriate action in the event of the student’s graduation.

People with Disability

People with disabilities seeking part-time job opportunities

This program offers part-time job opportunities for Qatari and residents with disabilities in Qatar, aiming to empower them in the private sector. The eligibility criteria and definition of part-time employment are outlined in the accompanying documents like a medical report from Hamad Medical Corporation and others.

The People with Disabilities Program is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of individuals with disabilities fostering their potential, and promoting their independence. This initiative aims to facilitate their access to part-time job opportunities thereby paving the way for their professional success.

Program Features

People with disabilities are provided with flexible opportunities to contribute to the workforce, helping build their careers while maintaining a work-life balance.

Eligibility Specific criteria have been established to outline the eligibility requirements. The definition and guidelines for part-time employment are detailed in the supporting documents including the submission of an approved medical report from Hamad Medical Corporation, along with other relevant documentation.

University Graduates

Residency permit Extension for Graduates from accredited universities and higher educational institutions in Qatar

The program supports graduates from Qatari universities and higher education institutions by allowing them to extend their residencies and search for jobs.

Graduates can apply to extend their residency permits directly through Qatar Manpower Solutions Company’s (Jusour) e-platform.

Program Features

Graduate Students benefit from a 1-year Residency Permit extension, to grant them the opportunity to search for full-time employment after graduation.

Eligibility

Candidates for this program must meet the following criteria:

The Graduate must be currently enrolled or previously enrolled at an accredited university or higher education institution in Qatar.
The Graduate must be over 18 years of age.
The Graduate has recently graduated from an accredited university or higher education institution in Qatar within the last three months.
The Graduate must be a resident of Qatar and completed his/her study in a university or accredited higher education institution in the country.

Required Documents

Candidates must submit the following documents:

Graduation Certificate or Expected Graduation Statement from a university or educational institution accredited in Qatar
Copy of Qatari ID (valid for up to three months after the expiration of the residency permit)
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the University
Copy of passport (ensure the passport is valid for at least six months)

Terms and Conditions

The following conditions relating to the extension of the residency permit must be met:
The residency extension program allows graduates to extend their stay for a year, enabling them to stay in Qatar while they search for a job.
The graduate’s residency is extended under the current sponsor (either the university or the accredited higher education institution in Qatar).
University graduates can apply for an extension of their residency permit within three months of graduation.
